Introduction to Working at Heights
In the first section, we introduce you to your Working at Height Course and explain how the course works. We explain what Working at Heights is and review the Risk Assessment process.
Regulations and Laws
This section gives the Regulations and Laws regarding Working at Heights and we look at the Health & Safety statistics and the HSE Case Study.
Safety Equipment
In this section, you will learn about Safety Equipment, there are examples of Fall Protection and Projection before we look at safety equipment itself, including Lanyards, helmets, slings, and work restraint equipment.
Ladders and Step Ladders
This section covers ladders, the different types of ladders, and their fixings, how to use a step ladder safely, and inspect and use a portable ladder. Finally, you will learn about trestles and tower scaffold.
Work Restraint and Fall Arrest
In this section, you will learn about fall arrest lanyards and how to use them, setting up and using inertia reels, how to set up and use a work positioning lanyard, and the use of work restraints.
Harnesses and Using Harnesses
This section covers the correct use of harnesses, pre-inspection, and how to use them. There is an example of a straight climb and the wrap around feature.
Emergency and Rescue
In this section, we review general precautions and the importance of an emergency rescue plan.
Summary to Working at Heights
The final section contains a brief course summary to prepare you for your final test.
